On November 2nd and 3rd, 2010 you are cordially invited to a series of in-depth training sessions for clinicians serving families of persons with traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders.  On the first day of training, participants will be provided with a solid foundation of knowledge about how families are affected by injury and illness.  Participants will also learn how to screen clients and integrate modified treatment strategies to work effectively with brain injury survivors and their families.  On the second day, participants will learn how to apply the Brain Injury Family Intervention (BIFI), an evidence based, manualized approach to families recovering from acquired brain injury.  Participants will receive a substantial amount of family education and intervention materials including the Family Intervention Kit and the BIFI manual.  The conference will be held at William & Mary College in Williamsburg, VA.

Here, in this section of our web site, you will find the latest information on the conference schedule and content, directions and lodging.  You will also find information on our conference faculty, well-known talented individuals with substantial clinical and clinical research experience.  Continuing education credits will be provided for Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors and Rehabilitation Counselors.
