On November
2nd and 3rd, 2010 you are cordially invited to a series of in-depth
training sessions for clinicians serving families of persons with
traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders. On
the first day of training, participants will be provided with a
solid foundation of knowledge about how families are affected by
injury and illness. Participants will also learn how to screen
clients and integrate modified treatment strategies to work
effectively with brain injury survivors and their families. On
the second day, participants will learn how to apply the Brain
Injury Family Intervention (BIFI), an evidence based,
manualized approach to families recovering from acquired brain
injury. Participants will receive a substantial amount of
family education and intervention materials including the Family
Intervention Kit and the BIFI manual. The conference will be
held at William & Mary College in Williamsburg, VA.
